Breast cancer is a serious disease. There are more than 200,000 cases of breast cancer every year in the US alone. Roughly 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.
We recommend checking your breasts for lumps once a month. A good time to do it is a couple days after your period ends. Besides self checks you should also have regular checks at the doctor. Between the ages of 20-40 you should get them checked every 1-3 years. Once you turn 40 they should be checked once a year.
